I'm back again with another card made with Lawn Fawn stamps. This week I was inspired by the Lawnscaping challenge to create your own background using stamps. There are some awesome entries this week so please go check them out on their <a href="http://lawnscaping.blogspot.com/2014/05/lawnscaping-challenge-create-background.html" target="_blank">blog Lawnscaping.blogspot.com or by clicking here</a>. <br />
<br />
I tend to be a stamp hoarder so I've had the Lawn Fawn Gnome Sweet Gnome stamp set for a while now and have never used it so I decided to finally break it out for this project and use the small mushroom for the background stamp. I also used my new favorite set Birthday Tags and the bird from Bannerific.<br />

This week I was inspired by the <a href="http://www.simonsaysstampblog.com/mondaychallenge/?p=1387" target="_blank">Simon Says Stamp monday challenge</a> which is to use either the number five or five of an object in your project. My solution to this challenge was to use five rhinestones to embellish my card.<br />
<br />
I'm super excited about this card because I was able to break out my Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist. I sprayed a layer of Glimmer Mist on white cardstock and then used the Heidi Swapp polka dot stencil to mask another layer of Glimmer Mist creating the polka dot patter. This was the piece I cut for the background.<br />
<br />
For the image I sprayed a full layer of Glimmer Mist and then, once it was dry, I stamped my Inkadinkado rose stamp in Memento ink on top of it. I enhanced the rose image with copic markers which gave in interesting effect since you can still see the glimmer through the Copic Marker. The Glimmer Mist is so beautiful in person with it's subtle shimmer. It's unfortunate that the camera cannot capture this effect. I then popped up the rose on top of a doily die cut from My Favorite Things.<br />

I'm back with another card featuring <a href="http://thegreetingfarm.com/shop/birthday-anya-3.html" target="_blank">The Greeting Farm's Birthday Anya 3</a>. The Anya stamps are one of my favorite lines of stamps because they are so adorable and I have so much fun coloring them!<br />
<br />
I made this card for <a href="http://thegreetingfarm.com/blog/?p=1245" target="_blank">The Greeting Farm's Farm Fresh Friday challenge</a>. The challenge was to use buttons and bows on your project. For some reason I have a hard time with buttons and trying to figure out where to put them in my projects. Here is what I came up with:<br />

Check out the other amazing entries <a href="http://lawnscaping.blogspot.com/2014/04/lawnscaping-challenge-minis-sponsored.html" target="_blank">here</a>. My project was two mini 3x3 birthday cards that would be perfect for gift tags for a birthday present. I'm obsessed with my new Lawn Fawn birthday themed stamp sets so I was super excited to make this project. I just love how the Lawn Fawn stamps can make something so simple but adorable. I'm back today with a submission to the <a href="http://lawnscaping.blogspot.com/2013/10/lawnscaping-challenge-67.html" target="_blank">Lawnscaping Challenge Blog's challenge number 67, patterned paper craze</a>. The challenge is to ue Lawn Fawn stamps with patterned paper. I love this sort of challenge because it allows you to have a lot of freedom in your projects since there aren't a ton of constraints. Here is the inspiration project:</div>

Hello everyone! I was in the Christmas spirit and so when <a href="http://splendidstamping.blogspot.com/2013/10/farm-fresh-friday-terrific-tags.html" target="_blank">The Greeting Farm's Farm Fresh Friday Challenge</a> was all about tags I knew right away that this was my chance to get a head start on Christmas! </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I have an incredible amount of paper scraps right now so in an effort to reduce the scrap pile I used only scrap paper for this entire project! I didn't break out any of my cutting machines to make this tag. I got everything from extra pieces that I cut last year. Here is what I came up with:</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj37s7NDno-deVRI-egK0cXLxuMKn40yckHg4mIOn9C3nMF9lgYvUx5fWqFHEmjqcPDBxpvJTfcmq-AQKG6cCM2h0sCgjW5tmkDI08UYxPCVz6qXmThyBiBHjJk4OooLpYlMNfa3pN4D6Y6/s1600/IMG_0351.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj37s7NDno-deVRI-egK0cXLxuMKn40yckHg4mIOn9C3nMF9lgYvUx5fWqFHEmjqcPDBxpvJTfcmq-AQKG6cCM2h0sCgjW5tmkDI08UYxPCVz6qXmThyBiBHjJk4OooLpYlMNfa3pN4D6Y6/s320/IMG_0351.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Here is what I used:</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The Greeting Farm's Xmas Sweeties Ian</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Copic Markers</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Recollections patterned cardstock</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Papertrey Ink and Core'dinations solid cardstock</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Winter lace Cricut cartridge to make the snowflake (this was already cut in my scraps from a project I didn't make last year, score!)</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Close To My Heart "A Holiday" stamp set with matching Cricut cut from the Art Philosophy cartridge</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
(also already cut in my scraps, yay!)</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Tim Holtz tag as the base</div>

Hello everyone! Things have been a little busy lately but I finally got a chance to sit down and make a card to post. I made this card for <a href="http://splendidstamping.blogspot.com/2013/09/farm-fresh-friday-thankful.html" target="_blank">The Greeting Farm's Farm Fresh Friday challenge</a>. The theme of this challenge is THANKFUL! I so obsessed with polka dots lately and I can't seem to stop using them in all my projects. Here is what I came up with.</div>

I'm really excited about the card I'm sharing today. <a href="http://splendidstamping.blogspot.com/2013/08/farm-fresh-friday-getttin-wiggy-with-it.html" target="_blank">The Greeting Farm came up with a great challenge this week called "Getttin Wiggy With It"</a>. For this challenge your image must have no brunette, blonde, or red hair so it's time to break out the fun colors! I was really put outside my comfort zone with this challenge because I have NEVER colored these images with anything besides normal hair color. I'm soo happy that I was challenged to do this because I really love the results.<br />
<br />
This is the first time I have used the trace feature on my Silhouette to cut around my digi stamps. I think the cut came out perfect around the stamp and it saved me the time of doing it myself by hand! I also took the extra step to break out my sewing machine to add some embellishment to this card. I think the Studio Calico wood veneer shapes added the perfect finishing touch. What do you think?<br />

Today I am posting a project for the <a href="http://www.simonsaysstampblog.com/wednesdaychallenge/july-24th-summer-food-andor-drink/" target="_blank">Simon Says Stamp Wednesday blog challenge</a>. I ordered a few new Lawn Fawn stamp sets from SimonSaysStamp.com a while back and this is the first time I got the chance to use them. I just love all of their stamp sets. They are so adorable!<br />
<br />
The challenge this week is to make a project with the theme "Summer Food and Drink". The first thing that comes to my mind when I think of summer food is ice cream! It's my absolute favorite summer treat (actually year round treat). Here is what I made:<br />

This is my second post of the day. I was in a creative rut the last few weeks so I felt compelled to do more than just one card today.<br />
<br />
This card was created for <a href="http://splendidstamping.blogspot.com/2013/07/garden-variety-tuesday-cas.html" target="_blank">The Greeting Farm's Garden Variety Challenge</a>. The challenge was to create a card that was clean and simple. I am the kind of girl who believes more is more when it comes to embellishments so toning it down was kind of challenging actually. I kept wanting to add glitter, or ribbon, or layers to this card. Here is what I came up with.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg2udVX1MaMu2xiTdcTvBZc7LJknuBaxPb3m68iW10QcUmFivwwxIAk7thIliIdzfMfMI3OzrS3BSwT50OHM4WPqPWCVoDpRjJumYfHMqI8N2HQ3rdxdMv35ToOq8wtCwueL24Xa7O1937E/s1600/P7230412.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg2udVX1MaMu2xiTdcTvBZc7LJknuBaxPb3m68iW10QcUmFivwwxIAk7thIliIdzfMfMI3OzrS3BSwT50OHM4WPqPWCVoDpRjJumYfHMqI8N2HQ3rdxdMv35ToOq8wtCwueL24Xa7O1937E/s320/P7230412.jpg" width="240" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Here is what I used to make this card:</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The Greeting Farm Cheeky Cherry Pie stamp</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Scrappy Mom's Sentiment stamp from the Pinch and a Dash set</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
We R Memory Keepers Love Struck patterned paper</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Papertrey Ink solid cardstock</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Copic markers</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
rhinestones from my stash</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>

It's been such a long time since I have posted. I was so tied up with getting everything ready for my wedding I had to set my scrapbooking and card making on the back burner for the last year. The wedding was beautiful and everything turned out amazing... and now I have a little free time to paper craft again!<br />
I'm starting with a couple challenges first. This card was created for <a href="http://splendidstamping.blogspot.com/2013/07/fff-lace-and-pearls.html" target="_blank">The Greeting Farm's Farm Fresh Friday Challenge</a>. This week we have to include lace and pearls on to our creation. Here is what I came up with.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjFwRkCq0cbx6XMfCL56_IHr7cjQWOcsEM9SmZPQM5CVQItemMhwRaI0LOqrgSkNA5A9pqao8jpKLEszbOAELZ1Hrh5LTZpw13gImRGsYdHwZlwBzsIcvD2hw6O18_jN5JC2ksPRXof11XN/s1600/P7230407.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjFwRkCq0cbx6XMfCL56_IHr7cjQWOcsEM9SmZPQM5CVQItemMhwRaI0LOqrgSkNA5A9pqao8jpKLEszbOAELZ1Hrh5LTZpw13gImRGsYdHwZlwBzsIcvD2hw6O18_jN5JC2ksPRXof11XN/s320/P7230407.jpg" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />
Here is what I used to make this card:<br />
<br />
The Greeting Farm's Latte Anya stamp<br />
Pink By Design "Perk Up" sentiment stamp<br />
Echo Park Everyday Eclectic patterned paper<br />
Papertrey Ink solid cardstock<br />
Copic markers<br />
Pearls and lace from my embellishment stash<br />
<br />

I also used Spellbinders Shapeabilities Nested Lacey Pennants for the sentiment tag. The stamp is by Teresa Collins and is from the Posh stamp set. I used my Copic markers to color it in. The paper is Paper Trey Ink solid cardstock and Colorbok "Flea Market" patterened paper. I topped it all off with some ribbon from the KinderStampO Vintage Love kit. Overall this was a quick and easy card to put together but I am pleased with the results. It's been so long since I have made a scrapbook page and I'm getting so behind so I decided to make one for my project today. You can see the inspiration photo in the first picture. I used the KinderStampO Vintage Love Kit for this project. The flowers, skeleton leaves, pink ribbon, beaded trim, and chipboard bird are all from the kit. I also used the Vintage Love stamp set for the sentiment. You can check out the Vintage Love kit <a href="http://www.kinderstampo.com/2012/01/introducing-kinderstampo-vintage-love.html">here on the KinderStampO websit</a>e. I made this card for three different things. I love being able to use one project for multiple uses although I will admit that it doesn't happen very often for me! The first thing this was created for was KinderStampO's sketchy Wednesday. You can see the sketch inspiration in the first photo. I used the KinderstampO "Greetings From Home" stamp set for the sentiment that you can check out in her store <a href="http://www.kinderstampo.com/p/online-store.html">here</a>. Hop on over to the KinderStampO blog to see the other fabulous design team submissions or to join us in the fun! <a href="http://www.kinderstampo.com/2012/01/welcome-to-sketchy-wednesday-january.html">www.KinderStampO.com</a><div><br /></div><div>The next two things this card was created for are challenges! The first is from Some Odd Girl. They are having a bling it up challenge. See the other fabulous entries <a href="http://www.someoddgirlblog.com/2012/01/bling-challenge/">here</a>. I used the <a href="http://www.someoddgirl.com/index.php?page=shop.product_details&flypage=someodd4-related.tpl&product_id=223&category_id=1&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=61">Love Letter Kaylee digital stamp from Some Odd Girl</a> and I used rhinestones and glitter as my bling.</div><div>The next challenge I have made this for was the Trendy Twine Valentine's Day project challenge. I of course used their fabulous new <a href="http://anniespaperboutique.bigcartel.com/product/cherry-cupcake-trendy-twine-valentine-s-day-bakers-twine-pink-red-twine">Cherry Cupcake twine</a> that is super cute! It's time for another KinderStampO Color it Monday post. The first picture is the color inspiration. I chose to make a card and I used the Cricut Art Nouveau cartridge for the design. I chose the Cala Lily cut and cut it and its layers out at four inches. I then layered it on some of my paper scraps. The last layer is sewn along the edges and distressed with a Tim Holtz sanding block. The sentiment is from KinderStampO's "Friendship" stamp set. When I went to upload my project today I realized I scraplifted one of their designers by accident lol! I chose the exact same Cricut cuts without even realizing that I was doing it, opps! Anyways, the cuts I used are From the Imagine cartridge Enjoy the Seasons. This is the first project that I have sewed on before. I bought a mini sewing machine that was only $15 from Big Lots. It's perfect size for my craft room because it's extremely small and I don't have to bother with bringing out my large machine. The challenge was to record your creative resolutions in some way and use at least two Cricut cuts. I made a layout and I used Teresa Collins Carolina Breeze cardstock. I just absolutely love the colors and patterns in this paper collection. The black background image is cut from the new Paper Trimmings cartridge. The banner and journal tag are cut from Art Philosophy. The title are puffy alphabet stickers from Michaels. My three resolutions are as follows: less shopping, more scrapbooking; attend more crafty classes; make more crafty friends. It has been so long since I have participated in a challenge. I'm really excited about this card. I used my Mermaid Anya stamp by the Greeting Farm for the first time! I colored her with copic markers and added pearls to her hair and Glossy Accents to her fin. The patterned paper and the letter stickers are from Echo Park's Summer Days collection. I cut the blue patterned paper into wave shapes by hand, inked up their edges, and then layered them on top of each other with tacky tape. I used My Creative Time's Build a Banner die to cut the banner with my Big Kick and then added some twine to the top. I hope you enjoy! Thanks for stopping by. </div>Melissa Bellhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12359889247931751694noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4580642452604361263.post-6172444471179128372012-01-03T22:57:00.000-08:002012-01-03T23:23:48.058-08:00Giveaway Winner and a Christmas card!<div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div>I'm so sorry for being away so long! Things got so crazy between work and Christmas the last few weeks and I just didn't have time to blog. I really apologize for being so late with the giveaway winner but I'll include a few extra goodies in my shipment to hopefully make up a little for my tardiness. Without further hesitation I'm very pleased to announce the winning comment:<div><br /></div><div><br /><div><dt class="comment-author " id="c8793338451917344583" style="font-weight: bold; padding-left: 45px; padding-top: 1.5em; border-top-width: 1px; border-top-style: solid; border-top-color: rgb(187, 0, 125); margin-left: -45px; font-family: Georgia, Utopia, 'Palatino Linotype', Palatino, serif; font-size: 12px; line-height: 16px; text-align: -webkit-auto; background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255); background-position: 0px 1.5em; "><a href="http://www.blogger.com/profile/03326610795676705744" rel="nofollow" style="text-decoration: none; color: rgb(187, 33, 136); ">Janette</a> said...</dt></div><div><div style="text-align: center;"></div><div><span ><u><br /></u></span></div><dd class="comment-body" id="Blog1_cmt-8793338451917344583" style="margin-top: 0.5em; margin-right: 25px; margin-bottom: 0.5em; margin-left: 0px; font-family: Georgia, Utopia, 'Palatino Linotype', Palatino, serif; font-size: 12px; line-height: 16px; text-align: -webkit-auto; background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255); "><p style="margin-top: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; ">Great gift bags.
